The Intro to Health & Medical Sciences program teaches various health care delivery systems. They will demonstrate the appropriate work habits of a health care worker, recognize the symptoms of shock, treat external bleeding of wounds, treat burns, give first aid and CPR, apply stints and slings, and clear pathways of obstructions in victims. The students will set a career goal and review the required qualifications. Introduction to Health and Medical Sciences is a yearlong, one credit course. It is available to 10th, 11th, or 12th grade students.
