The Criminal Justice program is intended to provide a general, but informed knowledge of the philosophy and history of criminal justice and criminal justice issues. It surveys the jurisdiction and organizations of local, state, and federal criminal justice agencies. After taking this course, students should have a general understanding of criminal justice, criminal law, and criminal justice procedures. Criminal Justice is a Dual Enrollment course through Virginia Highlands Community College. Upon completion of this course, students may have the opportunity to earn a NOCTI credential. Criminal Justice is a two year program. It is available to 10th, 11th, or 12th grade students.
