The Advertising Design program teaches the skills and principles involved in the development and function of Advertising and the Graphic Design process, from development through production. Students will apply aesthetic theories and technical skills to graphic design objectives. Elements covered are design, illustration, typography, photography, computer graphics, advertising techniques, animation, and website development. This class provides the opportunity for students not only to learn Advertising Design but also the fundamentals of Graphic Design. Students are then equiped with an understanding of the various software that is used in many industries worldwide. Students will leave this class with a portfolio of the work they have accomplished and will be ready to work in the Graphic Design Industry or to pursue a college degree. This course will assist the student in earning a credential upon completion of the Advertising Design (NOCTI) exam. Advertising Design is a two year program that is available to 10th, 11th, or 12th grade students.
