Our campuses are an extension of your home high school. We work with each high school to accommodate their schedule and special events. The CTE Centers offer both introductory and specialized training in Trade and Industrial, Service, and Health Occupations. The Technical School Campus was built by students and first opened its doors in 1938. In 1964, an addition was added to support the rising demand for career and technical classes. The Neff Center opened its doors in 1975 and offers two and three year programs. All Neff classes offer completers the opportunity to earn a professional credential and verified credit. Some of our courses offer students the chance to earn dual college credit. That means you can earn college credits at the same time you are earning credits toward high school graduation. Our dual credit classes are: Medial Terminology, Drafting, Networking, Criminal Justice, and Culinary Arts.
The faculty and staff at the CTE Centers believe in providing you with excellent state-of-the-art training that will allow you to explore occupations, begin a career, or advance to higher education. We will work to create an atmosphere of mutual respect. We want to help you develop good habits that will last a lifetime and give you the training to help you make a good living. We encourage you to make suggestions on how we can help you get the most out of your time with us. You will have the opportunity to participate in our professional organizations, Skills USA and Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA). Several of our courses allow you to take a professional certification test at the end of your coursework. Passing your professional certification test gives you verified credit for your class and makes employers more likely to hire you.
